Students are given compulsory courses, such as: The origins of Classical Turkish Literature, Ghazal in Classical Turkish Literature, Masnavi in Classical Turkish Literature, Qasida in Classical Turkish Literature. Students interested in this field of studies can also choose optional classes, like: Women Poets in Classical Turkish Literature, Literary Circles in Classical Turkish Literature, Classics of Eastern Literature, Basic Texts of Turkish-Islamic culture, Evliya Çelebi and Travel Literature, “Mazmun” in Classical Turkish Literature, Analysis of Manuscripts, Prose, Calligraphy and Archival Documents in Classical Turkish Literature, Tezkires of Poets , Aesthetics of Islamic Arts.
