According to Samsun Üniversitesi Ön Lisans ve Lisans Eğitim-Öğretim Yönetmeliği, a faculty member or lecturer is assigned as a consultant for each student in related department. The advisor monitors the student throughout their education and advices them on the compulsory and elective courses that the student must take within the framework of the program they are attending. Moreover, the advisor guides the student on issues such as university policy, rules, open programs at university, career opportunities. Academic counseling for students enrolled in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature during the academic year 2019-2020 is carried out by Erkan HİRİK, 2020-2021 carried out by Neslihan ÇELİK Assistant Professor, and 2021-2022 carried out by Seçil HİRİK.
