In classes under the Division of New Turkish Language, the general structure of contemporary Turkish language is examined with traditional methods as well as in the light of modern linguistics literature. Students are given obligatory courses, such as: Ottoman Turkish, Critical Reading and Writing in Turkish Language, Turkish Phonetics and Morphology, Turkish Syntax and Semantics, Theories of Language. Moreover, optional classes, such as: Anatolian Dialects, Rhetoric, Orthographic Problems of Contemporary Turkish Language, Linguistic Communication, Linguistic Communication and Speech Acts, Current Problems of Turkish and Semiotics are proposed to students.
